Development Management Team
Development Management is responsible for the determination of planning applications, and other associated applications (listed building consent, advertisement consent etc) submitted to the Council under the Planning Acts.
Planning Permission
Information about obtaining planning advice and applying for planning permission and on current applications being considered by the Council, with the ability to view and comment on them.
Local Plan
The Local Plan for Stevenage, also known as the District Plan, was adopted in December 2004 and is the statutory plan for the whole of Stevenage. The Local Plan provided the basis for making decisions on planning applications.
Planning enforcement
Planning enforcement investigates possible breaches of planning control and, where appropriate, aims to resolve them by using the most appropriate means or action.
Building Control
The primary function of Building Control is to advise on the compliance of buildings in relation to the current Building Regulations, so as to ensure the health, safety, welfare and convenience of people using them.
