What will we/the contractor do?

We will pass your details to our contractor who will contact you, often on the same day, to arrange a mutually convenient appointment.

The contractor will give you appropriate safety information in writing and will explain how the treatment works.

The contractor will carry out a survey to confirm the presence of the pest and, if evidence is found carry out a treatment. In some cases, follow-up visits may be necessary.

How long will I have to wait for a pest control treatment?

Our contractor aims to visit within 2 working days in the case of rats, mice, cockroaches or bedbugs and within 4 working days in other cases. Please be aware though that at busy times you may have to wait longer.

Who can use the service?

Anyone who lives in Stevenage is entitled to use our pest control service. We can also provide a service to commercial premises.

How much does the service cost?

There is generally a charge for the pest control service. For more information see our current list of fees and charges.

Help us to help you

If you have a cat or dog, ensure that it is regularly treated for fleas using an appropriate product in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Check your garden for signs of infestation, especially near sheds, compost heaps and any overgrown areas.

Carry out any measures identified by the contractor. Sometimes, you will be asked to do things before they visit (e.g. in the case of fleas or bedbugs) or you may be asked to carry out works to the property to prevent re-infestation (e.g. for squirrels or rats). If you don’t do these things, the contractor may not be able to treat the pest or eradicate the infestation.

Let us know if you see rats in public places so that we can ask our contractor to visit.
