Queen comes to Stevenage Day

24 May 2012

Stevenage Day 2012 is set to have it’s very own kind of magic when headline Queen tribute act, ‘The Bohemians’ take to the main stage in Her Majesty’s Jubilee year.

The event on Sunday 10 June at the King George V Playing Fields from 12.30pm is a great free family day out and supports local charities and organisations.

Stevenage Day will feature a dedicated music stage with a performance from ‘The Bohemians’,  who will bring the magic of ‘Queen’ to Stevenage performing classic hits including: ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’, ‘You’re My Best Friend’, ‘We Are The Champions’, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and many more.

Councillor Howard Burrell, Stevenage’s Executive Member for Children and Young People, Culture, Sport and Leisure said, “We are delighted to include the music stage in the fantastic line-up of attractions Stevenage Day has to offer.  We’ve worked hard to put together an eclectic mix of performers and our headline act, The Bohemians are known as one of the best tribute acts in the business, so I look forward to the show.”

There are still stalls available to promote your organisation at this popular event. Get in touch with the council’s Leisure Services Manager on 01438 242206 or visit Stevenage.gov.uk/Stevenage-day for more information and an application form.
