Stevenage Borough Council has appointed Thomas Pike as their new Strategic Director.
Tom joins Stevenage from the London Borough of Barnet Council where he spent several years working in a number of different posts including Head of Programmes and Resources, and Head of Libraries, Museums and Local Studies.

Tom, who replaces Peter Bandy after he retired in March following 15 years’ service at Stevenage Borough Council, will be part of the council’s Strategic Management Board with responsibility for providing leadership across a range of council services and projects.

Scott Crudgington, Chief Executive of Stevenage Borough Council, said: “Tom brings with him a wealth of experience, commitment and enthusiasm and his appointment will be critical in helping us deliver the key priorities residents have asked us to concentrate on, including town centre regeneration and the building of more affordable homes. We’re all delighted that he is joining the Strategic Management Board here at the council and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
