Book your spot for Stevenage Day

10 May 2016

Stevenage Day 2016 promises to be bigger and better than ever with more than 200 stalls and attractions on offer but there is still time for you to book your spot and be part of the 57th annual family fun day.

Stevenage Day, which falls on Her Majesty The Queen’s official 90th birthday weekend, takes place on Sunday 12 June at King George V Playing Fields from 12noon onwards. Spaces are still available on the fields for local charity and organisation stalls. The family fun day is also part of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of Stevenage as a New Town.

African fire eaters, dance groups and music acts are just some of the free family attractions. A licensed bar and a wide variety of specialist food vendors will be on offer and all of the action can be viewed from 100ft in the air as a tethered hot air balloon offers rides above King George V Pavilion.

Councillor Richard Henry, Executive Member for Culture, Sport and Leisure, said: “Excitement is building ahead of Stevenage Day 2016 but there is still time for you to join the party as we have some stall spaces available. With the line-up getting bigger and bigger, now is the time to book your spot and avoid disappointment.”
