Festive fun and games in Stevenage this Christmas

11 Dec 2015

Christmas is fast approaching and Stevenage Borough Council has a range of festive activities for young people to take part in this holiday season.

Activities at our play centres in Pin Green, Bandley Hill and St Nicholas include party games, making paper plate calendars, upcycling penguins and a Christmas Quiz. Stevenage residents who are aged five to 14 are welcome at the play centres, which open from 9am till 12.30pm and from 1.30pm till 5pm on Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 December. The play centres will also be open from 9am to 12pm on Christmas Eve.

Stevenage Museum is hosting a range of winter activities throughout the festive season including a clay day on Wednesday 30 December and a countdown to New Year event on Thursday 31 December. Both events take place from 11am to 12noon and 2pm till 3pm at a cost of £2 per child. Concessions are free.
Councillor Richard Henry, Executive Member for Children and Young People, said: “Waiting for Christmas to arrive can feel like it is taking an eternity but young people in Stevenage can pass the time a bit quicker by taking part in the range of exciting festive activities that our play centres and Museum have to offer.”
