Don’t miss Stevenage Day on Sunday 14 June

04 Jun 2015

Sunday 14 June is Stevenage Day. Come along to meet hundreds of local community groups, businesses and charities, watch live music across two stages and be entertained by the acts in the main arena.

There will also be a chance to try lots of local produce, including bread, cakes and waffles, meet some new friends at the petting zoo, ride electric bikes along the cycle paths and enjoy a drink in the Bus Bar. You can also test your cycling ability as the ASDA StreetVelodrome is back for a second year, and show off your skills at the mini golf or caged football.

Councillor Richard Henry, Executive Member for Children, Young People and Leisure said, “Stevenage Day is always a great day out for the whole family and this year is no exception. There are hundreds of stalls, live music and entertainment throughout the day, including dancers, drummers and cheerleaders, plus lots of food to sample and local organisations and charities to meet.

“With so much to do for the whole family, make sure you come along for one of the county’s biggest free events.”

Free car parking is available at the Forum, Southgate, Marshgate and St Georges Way multi storey car parks.

Stevenage Day is taking place on Sunday 14 June at King George V Playing Fields, from 11.30am onwards.
