‘Egg-cellent’ fun in the Town Centre Gardens

13 Apr 2015

More than 500 children and their families took part in the ‘egg-stremely’ popular Easter ‘egg-stravaganza’ in the Town Centre Gardens on Wednesday 8 April.

The free Easter event, which is hosted by Stevenage Borough Council in partnership with the Friends of the Town Centre Gardens and the Green Space Volunteers, saw hundreds of Stevenage families taking part in an Easter Trail, badge making, face painting and craft activities. The Stevenage Play Scheme, Toddler Group Initiative and the Children’s Centres were also there providing outdoor play activities for children to take part in.

Stevenage Borough Council’s Strategic Director, Peter Bandy said, “Our Easter event is just one of a number of events that we host throughout the year and I’m pleased that so many families came down to the Town Centre Gardens to take part in the fun. I don’t think we could have asked for a better turnout, or better weather and I hope that the rest of the events we have planned for this spring and summer enjoy the same level of attendance and sunshine as this one did.”
