Stevenage Day 2015 announced

10 Feb 2015

Today Stevenage Mayor Councillor Sherma Batson donned her wellies and joined animals from Courtlands Riding Stables in Todds Green to announce that this year’s Stevenage Day is on Sunday 14 June.

Horses, donkeys and a host of other farmyard favourites from Courtlands will form a petting farm, just one of the free family attractions at the 56th annual fun day. There will also be plenty for children to enjoy including an inflatable helter skelter, bouncy castles and fairground rides. Dance groups will be performing in the main arena, and music acts will be playing on two stages throughout the afternoon.

Councillor Howard Burrell, Stevenage’s Executive Member for Culture, Leisure and Sport said, “Stevenage Day is one of the highlights of the year for the whole family. We’ve got some great acts confirmed already and with plenty more attractions to be announced over the next few months, make sure you get the date in your diary now for Stevenage Day 2015.”

There are lots of opportunities for local people, groups and organisations to be involved in this popular event. For more information and an application form, please call 01438 242206 or email
