Bonfire night to go with a bang in Stevenage

31 Oct 2017

Remember, remember to come along to Stevenage Borough Council’s free firework display on Sunday 5 November at the Millennium Lake, Fairlands Valley Park.

The show starts at 7.30pm and the stunning illuminations, which can be seen from all parts of Fairlands Valley Park, will be brought to life with timed music. Visitors can gain access to the park from any entrance and are asked not to bring their own fireworks and sparklers for safety reasons.

Councillor Richard Henry, Executive member for Children and Young People, and Leisure, said: “Our fireworks display is one of the highlight events of the year so if you live in Stevenage there’s no need to worry about putting on a display in your garden. It’s always a spectacular sight to see the illuminations light up Fairlands Valley Park and bringing the show to life with music adds an extra spark to the show.”

Free car parking is available at the south field (opposite Stevenage FC’s stadium). For more information, contact Fairlands Valley Park on 01438 353241. Disabled visitors and those attending by bicycle are invited to attend at Marriotts School from 6pm where they will be able to enjoy the whole experience, including PA system linked to the music from Fairlands Valley. People attending at Marriotts School can gain access from Brittain Way and Telford Avenue.
