Senior appointment at Stevenage Borough Council

23 Aug 2017

Stevenage Borough Council has appointed Rob Gregory as new Assistant Director for Communities and Neighbourhoods.

Rob joins from Great Yarmouth Borough Council, where he was Group Lead for Neighbourhoods and Communities, developing the council’s flagship neighbourhood management approach and, more recently, leading the Early Help agenda and the development of a cultural strategy and multi-million pound external investment programme.

At Stevenage, Rob is responsible for Community, Neighbourhood, Leisure and Play services, and is the newest member of Stevenage Borough Council’s Strategic Leadership Team. The council recently carried out a review of its senior management team and appointed Assistant Directors to help deliver the council’s priorities outlined in the ‘Future Town, Future Council’ programme.

Rob will be Programme Manager for the FTFC Co-operative Neighbourhood Management programme that will deliver increased investment into Stevenage’s neighbourhoods and give residents the opportunity to help share their neighbourhood for the future.

Cllr Joan Lloyd, Executive Member for Resources, said: “As a co-operative council, Rob’s appointment will help us deliver a key priority of working with local people and organisations in Stevenage to ensure the town is a great place to live. Rob’s enthusiasm and passion for the role will be vital as we continue to provide valued services for the people of Stevenage and I wish him every success at Stevenage Borough Council.”
