Get your Pride of Stevenage nominations in now

18 Aug 2016

You have until Friday 26 August to nominate people who make a difference in our town for a Pride of Stevenage 2016 Award.

Residents, workers and visitors to the town are invited to nominate friends, colleagues, local businesses and anyone else that makes great things happen in Stevenage. A panel of judges will select the winners and the awards will be presented at a prestigious community reception on Saturday 19 November, when the Judges’ Special Pride Award will also be presented.

The seven Pride of Stevenage Award categories to nominate in are: Caring Award, Dedication Award, Enterprise Award, Green Award, Sporting Award, Team Award, and Young Star Award.

Local businesses have already got behind this year’s awards with Bouygues UK,
ChildUK, Robert Noble Associates, Specialist Cars BMW, Spencer John, The Follett Office, The Sport, Leisure and Culture Consultancy, and #Stevenage signed up as sponsors.

Stevenage Borough Council leader Cllr Sharon Taylor, who is chair of judges at the awards, said: “We have received some great nominations so far but there is still time to say thank you to friends, neighbours and acquaintances who give their time, skills and passion to good causes in Stevenage. I’m sure everyone knows someone deserving of a Pride Award – go on make their year.”

Nomination forms and information about the entry criteria can be found online at http://www.stevenage.gov.uk/have-your-say/61868/ and paper forms are available at the Customer Service Centre in Danestrete.
