30 Sep 2015

Stevenage Borough Council is sad to learn of the death of former Councillor Robert (Bob) A Clark on Friday 25 September at the age of 85.

Bob was a Stevenage councillor for 47 years, serving in Pin Green, Martins Wood and Shephall wards, before retiring in May 2014. He also acted as Mayor twice, first in 1976 to 1977 and then again in 1993 to 1994.

Councillor Sharon Taylor, Leader of Stevenage Borough Council said: “We are all greatly saddened by the news that our friend Bob Clark has died. He was one of Stevenage’s founding fathers and was universally respected by friends and fellow councillors. I know I speak for all of them when I say that he will be sorely missed.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob’s wife Fay, and the rest of the family at this sad time.”
