Stevenage Borough Council names new Executive

At Annual Council last night, the appointment of Leader of Stevenage Borough Council, the Deputy Leader and Executive Members were announced. They are:

Cllr Sharon Taylor - Leader of the Council
Cllr John Garder - Deputy Leader, Environment and Regeneration
Cllr Ann Webb -  Housing
Cllr Jeannette Thomas - Community, Health and Older People
Cllr Joan Lloyd - Resources
Cllr Ralph Raynor - Economy, Enterprise and Transport
Cllr Richard Henry - Children, Young People and Leisure
Cllr Sherma Batson - Safer Communities and Equalities
Cllr Simon Speller - Neighbourhoods and Co-Operative Council

Cllr Sharon Taylor, Leader of the Council, said, “With all the exciting changes happening in Stevenage over the next few years, this is as a chance for me and the Executive Members to work with our partners for benefit of the town. I’m confident that we’ll be able to continue to deliver an excellent service for our residents.” 

Cllr Phil Bibby is leader of the Opposition (and the Conservative Party) while Cllr Robin Parker remains leader of the Liberal Democrats.
