BBC One daytime show, The Housing Enforcers, heads back to Stevenage

29 Apr 2015

Stevenage Borough Council staff and their customers are back on BBC daytime TV next week when The Housing Enforcers, featuring Matt Allwright, returns for a second series.

The show’s producers, Twofour, spent several months filming with council workers and residents throughout the town. Matt Allwright joined the ranks as a trainee housing officer working to help tenants and residents with their housing needs. His work ranged from helping those in temporary accommodation move into council properties to meeting residents in our Customer Service Centre.

The 20 45-minute programmes in the new series of Housing Enforcers see Matt Allwright join 16 council teams across the UK helping to find suitable homes for tenants, tackling damp and mould issues and dealing with the consequences of nightmare neighbours.

Stevenage Borough Council’s Strategic Director Matt Partridge said, “This is the second time we’ve been able to show BBC viewers the vast range of work we do for the people of Stevenage, from helping people find suitable homes to upgrading tenants’ kitchens and bathrooms. Our teams have enjoyed showing Matt Allwright the ropes when it comes to helping people in the town.”

Tune into the weekday series from Monday 4 May on BBC One.
