‘Egg-cellent’ family fun in Stevenage for the Easter Holidays

26 Mar 2015

Stevenage Borough Council’s Easter ‘egg-stravaganza’ offers children and young people in the town a host of fun activities in our parks, play centres and local museum.

On Wednesday 8 April, from 11am to 3pm, families will need to get their bonnets and baskets at the ready for an Easter trail through the Town Centre Gardens as well as face painting and craft activities for the whole family.

Spring is also in the air at Stevenage Museum. During the Easter break they’re hosting a week of fun activities for children to get involved in, including animal artistry on Wednesday 8 April, weather mobile making on Thursday 9 April and seed planting on Friday 10 April. The sessions on Wednesday and Thursday are taking place from 10.30 to 11.30am and 2 and 3pm and cost £2 per child, with Friday’s drop in session taking place from 10.30 to 12noon and 2 to 3.30pm and costs £1 per pot, alongside free arts and crafts.

Stevenage Borough Council’s Strategic Director Peter Bandy said, “Not only do we have events taking place at Stevenage Museum and in the Town Centre Gardens but our play centres will also be open during the school holidays. Each of our three centres will be offering lots of great activities for five to 14 year olds to enjoy, and it’s all free too.”
