Stevenage supports Small Business Saturday

28 Nov 2017

Stevenage Borough Council is encouraging residents to support local businesses and take advantage of discounts, offers and giveaways at shops across the town at Small Business Saturday on Saturday 2 December

The event, which is partnered by the Business & Technology Centre (BTC), is a chance to celebrate small and local businesses in the area. A Christmas market in Queensway also starts on the day, with stall along Queensway.

For the first time the Town Centre Manager is holding a Cash Mob. Meet at the fountain in the town square at noon and the group will choose which local business to support to spend their cash.

Small Business Saturday takes place in the town centre from 8.30am to 6pm. The council is providing exhibition space for businesses to showcase their offer between 10am and 2pm and have a diverse range of businesses signed up. They include Nigel's Hot Scotch Pepper Sauce, Collins Millinery, Romanian Flavours, Vee Vee Jewellery and The Fitting Room.
