Grants for Talented Young People
This is a talent fund for young people aged between 5 and 25.
Assistance in achieving high standards is available in the Arts Sport and Education attainment. There are two rounds every school year, deadlines are 1st October and 1st March with a compulsory awards ceremony to be attended in the Summer. To apply candidates must fill in an application form and write a support letter with no more than 200 words saying why they should receive this award…………. Good Luck!
15,000 is made available each year for a scheme of grants to assist talented young people in achieving their goals.
The award is for young people who are no older than 25, a resident of Stevenage and attend a Stevenage Club or school. This may be through an artistic cultural activity, sport or academic achievement.
There are two rounds and an award ceremony takes place in May/June each year.
The closing dates for entries are:
- 1st October – Now closed (any entries received after this date are automatically entered into the second round); and
- 1st March – accepting entries now.

- 100% of award available to a resident who attends a Stevenage Club.
The panel can refuse a candidate if they do not fit into the guidelines. But to give the incentive to improve and progress applicants will be encouraged to re-apply at a later date.
One of the questions on the application form is in regards to employment. If the applicant is in full employment it is at the panels discretion as to the amount of award that will be granted.
