The Stevenage Society for Local History meets monthly from September to May at the Museum unless otherwise stated.
Doors open at 7.30pm for an informal chat with the formal meeting starting at 8pm.

Aim of the Society
The aim of the Society is to promote and encourage interest in the history of Stevenage and the surrounding area.
Society activities include:
- research into the origin and development of local buildings, crafts and trades
- arranging exhibitions, short courses, lectures and visits to sites of local interest
- the publication of booklets and information sheets
- supporting the work of Stevenage Museum
- and encouraging the conservation of historic features within the town.
