Major Works - External

Our external major works programme is due to start in June 2014 and run will until March 2016. This initial programme will deliver work to council houses only. The programme will be broken in to two phases as detailed below.

The work may include one or more of the following:-

Phase 1

  • Insulation measures
  • New or upgraded windows
  • New or upgraded external doors

Phase 2

  • Roofing
  • External and communal area decoration
  • Pre-painting repairs
  • Brickwork/concrete/mortar repairs
  • Paving
  • Fencing
  • Timber repairs (including Windows and Doors)
  • Glazing

External major works for flats and blocks will be delivered as a separate programme and is due to commence in June 2015 after the necessary consultation with leaseholders has taken place.

Meet the Contractors

We are currently putting together the contracts for this programme and will announce the contractor who will deliver the work in due course.

Before we begin work in each new area we will hold an open day that will give you a chance to meet the contractor and find out more about the work to be carried out in your home.

All contractor staff are required to carry full face photo identification and all appointments will be made by prior arrangement.  Please ask to see identification before letting anyone into your home.
