Community Transport
Community Transport Services are for older people and people with a disability, including wheelchair users, who cannot use ordinary passenger transport.
The aim of the service is to help housebound people to get out and about, meet other people and engage in activities outside the home.
A trained driver and attendant take people to voluntary day care, community centres and lunch clubs and on outings, excursions and shopping trips. Two specially adapted tail-lift vehicles provide the transport. The Council also contributes to the cost of Dial-a-Ride, which is managed by Hertfordshire County Council.
