Household collection - waste
The Council provides a regular (usually weekly) collection of household rubbish from all residential premises within the authority boundaries.

What the service provides for you
Household waste should be placed at the boundary property by 7.00am on the collection day and no earlier than the evening prior to collection.
We will:
- collect household rubbish once a week, on the scheduled day.
- collect any missed and/or spilt household rubbish left during bin collections the following working day after it has been reported. Please contact us using the details below to report a missed refuse collection, or complete the online form.
The Council collects domestic refuse weekly from the boundary of every household in Stevenage. People with a disability or medical reason can make special arrangements by calling the number below.
We deliver bin bags (52) annually to every house in Stevenage between late May and early June. Additional bin bags can be purchased from Cavendish Road Depot at a cost of £4.00 for 52.
