Animal Control
Pest and Vermin Control in Domestic Premises

A call-out charge may be made in any individual case where a visit is made and treatment is not carried out (e.g. where the client insists on a visit in respect of a wasps' nest out of season).
Concessions
The concessionary rate of 50% shall apply in domestic premises where the occupant is in receipt of:
- Income Support
- Job seekers allowance (income based)
- Guaranteed pension credit
- Council tax benefit (not single person's discount)
- Housing benefit
N.B. The Head of Environmental Health and Licensing and Environmental Health Managers have discretion to waive the charge in exceptional circumstances where there is a danger to public health.
The occupant includes the partner, but does not include other members of the household or other residents.
Pest and Vermin on Other Premises

In exceptional cases where large treatments are necessary in commercial, industrial, or public authority premises, the cost of chemicals / materials will also be charged.
N.B. Payment to be made at the time of treatment. Invoices will not normally be issued.
Stray Dogs

*WAIVED IF DOG HAS VALID COLLAR AND TAG (FIRST OFFENCE ONLY) AND CAN BE RETURNED WITHOUT TRANSFER TO KENNELS.
Second and subsequent offences relate to the dog being seized on a second or subsequent occasion within any rolling 12-month period. The offence may also be considered to be second or subsequent if the dog has been observed straying by a Council officer within the previous 12 months AND a warning letter has been sent to the dog owner.
Kennelling will be charged for every day that the dog is held unless the owner contacts us before 5:00 pm and, for any reason, we are not able to return it on that day. In such case kennelling will be waived for that day (and subsequent days if we are unable to return it on the following day).
If the owner contacts the Council and / or the kennels after 5:00 pm, the kennelling charge will be payable for that day or part thereof.
The concessionary rate of 50% shall apply where the dog owner is in receipt of a qualifying means tested benefit (see section 1).
The Head of Environmental Health and Licensing and Environmental Health Managers have discretion to waive all or part of the charges in exceptional circumstances.
