War memorials
The Council is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the war memorial on the Bowling Green in Stevenage Old Town.
War memorials are controlled by the War Memorials Trust. The Council is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the war memorial on the Bowling Green in Stevenage Old Town, but the War Memorials Trust must grant permission prior to more extensive works being undertaken.
There may be other memorials situated in churchyards around the town but responsibility for these fall with the church or other organisations.
