We maintain 33 football pitches across 9 parks - there are junior, senior and 7-a-side pitches available for hire.

Pitches for 7-a-side tournaments may be available during the summer. All other pitches are available for booking during the football season, September – April. To book a pitch you can either:

Care and maintenance of football pitches
Football pitches are marked out in August for the start of the season in September and remarked throughout the season. Goal posts are put up in time for the first match of the season.
Before each game pitches are inspected to make sure that they are fit for play. If a pitch is not playable we will try to move your booking to another pitch in Stevenage.
Pitches are maintained throughout the season to try and keep them in a good playable condition. At the end of the season, goal posts are removed and the pitches reinstated.
We welcome people using the parks for football out of season, but request that you play away from the goal mouths and centre circle. By resting the pitches in this way we can provide better quality pitches in September.
To report a problem with football pitches please complete the online report form. Your report will be investigated within two working days, and a full reply sent within 20 working days.
