Maintenance and care of cricket pitches
During March and April the cricket pitches are spiked, mown, scarified, rolled and fertilised to make sure that they are ready for the start of the season.
This work continues throughout the season and the outfield is marked up every week. During the summer the cricket square is watered regularly to ensure that the pitch is suitable for play.
Work to the cricket squares continues through the winter, in preparation for the next season.
To request more information about maintenance, or to report a problem with the cricket facilities, please complete the online report form. Your report will be investigated within two working days, and a full reply sent within 20 working days.
