Stevenage In Bloom
Information about the competition, how to enter, the categories and the judging.
Judging
For this years competition we plan to present awards in line with the Royal Horticultural Society’s Britain in Bloom competition.
All entries will be judged in the same manner as last year. However, all entries will receive Gold, Silver Gilt, Silver or Bronze certificates or an award of merit based on the number of points that they achieve during the judging visit. For example:
- 85+ points achieves a Gold Award
- 75-84 points achieves a Silver Gilt Award
- 60-74 points achieves a Silver Award
- 50-59 points achieves a Bronze Award
- 0-50 points achieves a Certificate of Merit
It is possible to have more than one entrant receiving a Gold Award, but whoever scores the most points within their category will be the overall winner for that category.
This will give all entrants a clearer indication of the standard of their entry, and to measure their improvement each year.
