Possible disruption to Council services

Strike Action called on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 July.

Along with all other councils in the country, Stevenage Borough Council has been notified that trade unions intend to take industrial action.

The national strike is planned for Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 July 2008

Some Council services may be affected or unavailable.

There will be no rubbish, recycling or garden waste collections on this date. The next collections for affected areas will be on:

Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 July for rubbish and recycling
Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 July for garden waste

Collections on other days are not affected.

We will make every effort to keep disruption to a minimum and concentrate attention on services for residents who are most vulnerable and for emergency situations.
