Executive - General Information
The 10 Members on the Executive include the Leader of the Council the Deputy Leader (Economic Development) and the Leader of the Opposition. There are also 7 further Executive Members with responsibility for Community Safety, Performance and Improvement, Resources, Environment and E-Government, Community and Culture, Equalities and Human Resources, Housing and Health.
The Executive makes decisions on all Key Decisions. (See Councils Constitution for a definition of a Key Decision and more detail on the Executive).

The Leader of the Council has responsibility for Town Twinning, Media and Communications, Modernisation of Local Government - new political structures and the Constitution, Members' Services including the 21st Century Councillor Programme and the Civic Suite.
