Planning and Development Committee - General Information
The Planning and Development Committee consider all major applications. The majority of minor and householder applications are determined by the Head of Planning and Regeneration under powers delegated by the Council.
However, any Member of the Council may request, under a ‘call-in’ procedure, that a particular application is decided instead by the Planning and Development Committee if they consider there to be exceptional circumstances surrounding it. In the event of an application being referred to the Committee, there is the opportunity for people to put their views directly to the Committee.
The Planning and Development Committee is a public meeting, all meetings start at 6.30pm and are normally held in the Autun Room, at Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage.
