The Stevenage Quality of Life Survey
What did we do?
The Stevenage Partnership, with the active support of Stevenage Borough Council, reviewed the Stevenage Community Strategy. The first community strategy, Stevenage 2021, was published in 2004. The second community strategy was launched and published on 3rd December 2007.
In May 2007, we asked a sample of Stevenage residents a number of questions on social, economic and environmental issues.
Why did we consult?
We wanted to understand residents’ views and perceptions of quality of life in Stevenage and highlight what their priorities are. The community strategy has various performance targets and the outcome of this survey informed those targets.
How did we inform you of the results?
The results were published in Chronicle Magazine. For more information, please contact Rehana Mohamed on 01438 242363 or email consultation@stevenage.gov.uk

Neighbourhood Conference
What are we doing?
We are having a Neighbourhood conference on 26th January 2008 to listen to what people tell us what is important in their neighbourhoods.
Why are we consulting?
We will develop action plans for each of the six neighbourhoods based on what you tell us are your priorities. For example, if graffiti and litter are problems in your neighbourhood, we will make it our priority to deal with it
How will we inform you of the results?
The results will be published on our website, in the local media and in Chronicle magazine.
