Online payments

Customers wishing to use this method of payment should log on to either the Council's WebSite and use the "BillPay" hyperlink or go directly to the Girobank BillPay webSite - www.billpayment.co.uk

Business Rates, Council Tax, Housing Rents and Charges, Leaseholder charges and Sundry Debtor invoices can be paid using the Internet. Payment can be made using a debit card - Delta, Visa Electron, Switch or Solo are accepted.

Initially customers will be required to register their personal details with Girobank BillPay and create their own password and security details: they will need to indicate which type or types of payment they wish to make using this method. Once registered payments can be processed.

Subsequent access to Girobank BillPay will not require customers to go through the registration process but will be subject to password and security checks. The WebSite is secure and confidential and does not hold any details relating to a customers debit card.

The Girobank BillPay WebSite provides users with details of how to log on, how to register, about BillPay, who can be paid and terms and conditions of usage. It also sets out a number of frequently asked questions to advise and assist Internet users about features of BillPay. A Help Desk is provided by Girobank BillPay to assist customers.
