Dog Control Consultation
News Item Details
- Date
- 10.30am, 20 November 2006
The council is seeking the views of residents on new legislation to control dogs.
Following the introduction of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act, Councils have greater powers to control dogs in public places. For example, we can impose controls to:
- require dog owners to keep their dogs on leads
- ban dogs from certain areas
- limit the number of dogs that a person can walk
To help us decide what, if any, of these controls should be introduced in Stevenage, we would like to hear your views.
Please take some time to complete the questionnaire, see link below.
All reponses will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Closing date for responses is 31 January 2007.
