Stevenage Borough Council prides itself on continuing to directly manage over 8,000 council homes. The Housing and Investment service sets high standards and has recently been featured on the BBC’s The Housing Enforcers programme.

At the same time, the service needs to continue to modernise to remain excellent and be responsive to our customer’s needs. The Housing Transformation Programme Manager is a key agent of change, delivering improved IT, processes and working practices. You will join us in our strong Business Improvement team to work exclusively managing the Housing All Under One Roof transformation programme. This programme is one of nine within the Council’s ambitious Future Town Future Council plan.

You will use your extensive programme and project management and service improvement skills to manage the programme and drive forward key projects. You will work closely with the business, key stakeholders and suppliers using your excellent communication and relationship building skills. You will be committed to working in a friendly but high pressure environment and be able to effectively manage and prioritise own workload.
