Stevenage Day will take place on Sunday 10 June 2012 from 12.30pm at the King George V Playing Field.
Fun and fundraising
Stevenage Day, which has been held every year since 1959, is the largest community event of its kind. The event sees local charitable organisations providing entertainment and giving everyone a great day out while at the same time raising much-needed funds, increasing awareness and celebrating and appreciating the work of local societies in Stevenage.
What’s on this year?
This year’s line-up of attractions and performers is almost finalised and promises to have something for absolutely everyone. At this year’s event you’ll be able to:
- Explore over 200 stalls offering local produce, crafts and goodies and traditional games and challenges
- Visit a mini market featuring all your favourite stalls from Stevenage Indoor Market, now with added street entertainers
- Treat your taste buds to a delicious array of food and drink ranging from traditional fish and chips to Thai and Caribbean food
- Boogie on down to an eclectic line-up of singers and bands on the all new music stage
- Enjoy performances from local dancers, singers, cheerleaders, majorettes and children’s entertainers all afternoon
- Feel all the fun of the fair with children’s rides, a football festival and a special prize draw
- Marvel at spectacular demonstrations of fire fighting and emergency rescue from Hertfordshire Fire Service
