Residents’ Groups

Residents’ groups run their own activities and events, and sometimes work with us on projects to improve our neighbourhoods. Find your nearest group:

We meet to discuss matters of local importance and plan activities. Our focus is on developing a strong community and getting involved in shaping the future in Bedwell. Our goal is to support you and give you a voice to raise issues with local agencies. We also run activities to encourage all ages to come out and get involved. Anyone living in Bedwell is welcome to attend our residents’ group meetings. It is free, and if you live in Bedwell you are part of the group.

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 6.45pm in the Bedwell Community Centre, Bedwell Crescent, SG1 1NA. There is no meeting in August.

Longmeadow and Bragbury End

We encourage local people to get actively involved and have a voice on local issues. To help with this and make it fun  the group developed a community garden by the community centre at Kenilworth Close. We want to ensure that we keep our local area a safe and great place to live for young and elderly people alike. The community garden, adds to community spirt and many friendships have developed during our Saturday gardening and barbeque events. You are welcome to come along to a meeting and get to know the group.

Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month, 6.30pm at Asquith Court communal area.

Pin Green

We are actively working with local people to improve our community. We encourage all residents to come along and get involved on any issues that they feel could make a positive difference to the community. A small group of local people are working on a Neighbourhood plan to make Pin Green a better place to live including encouraging pocket neighbourhoods, ways of dealing with anti-social behaviour and generally improving the area. We would love to see you and hear your thoughts /ideas, so come along.

Meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month, 7pm at Hampson Park Community Centre.

St Nicholas and Martins Wood

Please come along to discuss local issues and help us improve our local community. In the past we have discussed and resolved problems with anti-social behaviour, parking, highways and rubbish collections. Local district and county councillors attend residents’ association meetings, providing you with a direct line of contact between residents and the council.

Meetings are held every two months on the first Tuesday of the month, 6pm at the Oval Community Centre in the cafe.

Shephall and Bandley Hill

We work with the local community, councillors and other local community groups to improve the area. We believe the key to the group’s success is making sure everyone has a say and then agreeing the best way forward for the community. Everyone has a role to play and the key aim is to achieve outcomes that the community wants in the area. All interested people are invited to attend meetings, which last around an hour.

Meetings are held once a month at the Shephall Centre, on the second Wednesday of each month 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
