Community Transport

The aim of the service is to help housebound people to get out and about, meet other people and engage in activities outside the home.

A trained driver and attendant take people to voluntary day care, community centres and lunch clubs and on outings, excursions and shopping trips. Two specially adapted tail-lift vehicles provide the transport. The council also contributes to the cost of Dial-a-Ride, which is managed by Hertfordshire County Council.
